For me it usually starts when I see the first leaves changing color, and here in Quebec, they started a week ago. I love this time of year, for I can start calming down from the rush of 'things' during the summer. Fall/Winter is a time of creativity for me, quiet contemplations, thought full reflections, it's all cozy....walking in the woods, thanking God for all things!

Since I already voted a few days ago I forget what I chose! for me it's usually in late sept. or early october when the daytime high's get below 90's and the lows are in the 50's and 40's. By late august one can already tell the days are getting much shorter as well, but now in mid sept. we are losing about 5 minutes a day of light!

Autumn is really my favorite season (except for the Christmas season, of course) - and for me it really starts when the air gets that cool, crisp undertone and the leaves start to change. It's almost here and I'm so excited!
I chose when the leaves change and weather gets cooler and guess what... the dogwoods are getting that nice red color to the leaves and tomorrow and saturday are going to be in the 60's so possibly for me it will be this weekend. I can definately detect a hint of fall in the air when I smell something kind of spicy. DO not ask me to place it but it is there.

Labor Day weekend always signals the beginning of fall for me. The last official weekend for the parks and the leaves are falling and changing (that started in August). Nights are longer and the entire atmosphere has a change in it. LOL, can't go by the beginning of football for to me, football is becoming an all year event. So glad my hubby is no longer into football, yeah!
It's sad to see my pretty flowers dying and the leaves falling for the trees soon will be bare and ugly. Calling for a frost either tonight or tomorrow night, yikes. Heating oil bills, what a delight. NOT.
