Snow Lights

I tried something new they are called snow lights. from Bon Appetite magazine They are supposed to be made with snow,the snow pillars look good though as seen here see pic ( I did not make these white ones)

but i used water. They are shorter then the snow ones but i like the way color shows. I put a few drops of food color in water and froze it. T think ill try yellow and red next time. And more than 2 also.
with flash,

no flash,

Ah, ok. That really is a cool idea. Wish we could do something like that here, well I could tonite since it is gonna be 18 degrees but that is unusual for us in the south. But thanks for the idea...it would be good for a night time Christmas party so it wouldnt hurt if they melted!!

How to snow pillar lights

bundt pan sprayed with pam
fill with snow tightly
let sit a minute
unmold
stack on top of each other
set tealight inside hole
use long match to light

or if they are sturdy enough, light a tealight and then set the snow pillar over it
