present Gift Container Ideas

Hi,
This year will have to be a pretty frugal, I'm planning on making "Snowy Day" type of gifts containing things like books, playing cards, cozy socks, snacks, etc. The thing that is stumping me is what to place it in. I want the container to be inexpensive, useful, and somehow funky or unique. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance,
Liz

What if you used one of the snow sled saucer things and maybe added some other Snow Fun things like a Snowman Kit, mittens/scarves, an Igloo snow brick maker or other inexpensive snow toys.

I guess I should have asked if the gifts are for adults or kids. lol There is a movie called Snow Day, might make a nice addition. I found it at our used DVD store for $2.

How about wrapping them up in a nice fleece blanket or throw? my Aunt and my mother in law have done that before .. saves on wrapping paper and is useful for a long time after the gift has been given!

if the gifts are smaller use paper bags that you have decorated with Christmas stickers. Then fold over the top, punch a hole in it and tie a ribbon or pipe cleaners through it.

I love the throw idea. I have been buying baby doll things for my 2 year old grandchild. I think I will make a fleece blanket for both Sophie and her baby doll and use the larger one for the wrap.
