The famous Home Alone house is still for sale reduced by $400,000 to $1,950,000.

How many would love to own this beauty?

The links below show inside. I wish I could buy this house I've seen so many times and dreamed of the perfect Christmas.

It's been forever since I've seen that movie.

Was a lot of the movie actually filmed in that house? It looks familiar...parts of it at least.

Such a cute presentation! I can see why the price is scaring off people though.

GingerMel~I heard that a good portion of it WAS filmed there but director Chris Columbus added things of his own; a lot of red and green to make it feel "homey" and Christmasy, the way Kevin slid down the stairs isn't possible in real life so they did some "movie magic" to make it so.

But I think overall yes, a lot of the filming was done there. Also, you have to remember: it has been over 20 years since that film was made so (of course) a lot of changes have probably taken place since 1990.

That is a little outside of my price range sadly maybe someday, very beautiful house though, I am kind of partial to the house from Christmas Vacation but that house is just a house in the Warner Brothers lot
http://www2.warnerbros.com/wbsf/virt...=blondiestreet

, maybe someday I can build a replica of it
