Aled Jones did not sing on the Snowman, it was another boy called Peter Autey

Aled Jones sang the version for the Toys r Us advert and had a subsequent hit with it

Really tough question.

I love all the 50's and 80's Christmas stuff but I would probably second 'walking in the air' from Raymond Briggs The Snowman.
