My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
So, I downloaded Michael Bublé's new Christmas album ("Christmas") last week, and I gotta say that it is fast becoming one of my very favorites. His voice is so soothing and incredible, and this reminds me of a Como, Martin, Crosby modern-day type of Christmas album. Although, I do think that the duet with Shania Twain was disappointing; a softer female voice would have been more enjoyable and complimentary to his. Besides that, I love it and highly recommend it. Has anyone else gotten or listened to this album, yet?
It's getting BIG play in my house, so I've heard it plenty. For the most part, for me, I agree with you there is some solid gold stuff on this album. The "Santa Baby" track really annoys me and the duet with Shania is not my favorite. But most of it, like Jingle Bells and especially what he did with Mariah's song is top notch. Buble needs his own signature Christmas tune, in my opinion.
I'm really enjoying the album. As pointed out there are a few miss steps along the way and a few original tracks would have been nice. Overall though it's a solid Christmas offering, with some great arrangements of holiday classics and I'm expecting to be playing it for quite a few years to come.
