"Jason And The Argonauts", one of my all time favourite Christmas films has just begun on the telly here, the spare ribs are almost ready in the oven and a bottle of Baileys beckons...ah, it is still Christmas in the Ednog house!

I don't know if anyone else has already mentioned here or not, but I have found that by reading a Christmas book here and there is really helping me this year.

Also, of course, coming to MMC this year has REALLY helped me.

I haven't done mush reading lately, but I have been trying to catch a Christmas movie or two. Tonight on TV they had on Home Alone and also, Comcast on Demand has TNT scrooge and TCM has scrooge and the polar express. And if that doesn't work out, I'll just pop one of my DVDs in, and bingo - A little more Christmas spirt.

But I am sad a bit...
So, dressing up like Madona and dancing to Christmas music on the front lawn doesn't help anymore?

@gabulldawg:I know what you mean about being happy to see a year end...that was 2010 for me. I hope 2012 is so much better for you...filled with blessings and I'm sorry last year was horrid.

Amen to that! I hope that all of us will have a peaceful, healthy and wealthy year for 2012, which will then hopefully guide us to have a blessed Christmas for ourselves (peace of mind) and wonderful and happy Christmas with our family and friends.

The month of December was hard for me as well with the loss of my mother (she was 67), my father had a heart attack the day after her burial and ended up having to have bypass surgery and my grandfather, well he was not doing to well (age 93) and will now most likely have to stay with us untill whenever. And to some things up, my mother-in-law fell down the steps and broke her ankle in 3 places and had to have emergency surgery on the 23rd and my son ended up coming down with pneumonia on Christmas eve. Whewwww... I need a vacation or a stiff drink....

What an awful time. I really feel for you. When things like this happen in life it's hard, but they don't normally happen in the space of a month. I'm sure 2012 will be much better.
