I have been hitting all kinds of clearance sales and found some great gifts.. slipper socks & fleece lounge, Christmas ornaments, Thermal PJ's, Eagles: cooler bag, key chain, car magnets. Everything I got was 50 to 75% OFF. I would guess that I have about 20% of my shopping done.

I got a bunch of ornaments and decorations, and I think I have 3-4 toys for the boys already.

I've started buying odds and ends. I've found some things for stocking stuffers, my advent calendar project, ribbon at 50% off, and a few things for teachers & neighbors. I haven't really bought anything for my kids yet. It's hard to hide anything from my six year old son but I could go ahead and shop for my daughter, she's only two months old and this will be her first Christmas. I'm excited about shopping for a girl, it will be a first for me!

I'm holding out waiting to view the QVC Christmas in July and then after that I will start seriously shopping in the Fall. This year, (for the first time in many years) we will have little kids to shop for and I can't wait.

That means I will be able to shop at Toys-R-us again. I love that place, it makes me wish I was a kid again, because they have so many neat things out now a days. I catch myself as I'm walking thru there saying, "Awww man, I wish they had that when I was a kid"!!!

I miss those days of cars toys, my boys are all into Power Rangers, Transformers, and my oldest is starting to like techie gifts like mp3 players, Wii, etc... I miss those days so much.

Awww. Yes, it's definitely a fun (crazy!) time! They are at ages where they BOTH enjoy Cars and THomas, so it's a lot of fun. I told my husband about the toys being on clearance and I think he was more excited than the kids will be when we give them to them at Christmas, ha!

I think I get more excited going to Toys R Us than my boys do! I forgot about Thomas, that was my oldest's first love of toys, and TV show. Now he sees the toy and does nothing with it.
