I just saw on the weather channel, that for this coming Saturday they are predicting a temperature of 106 degrees with a heat index of 113....

I think I need to stick my head in a gallon of vanilla Ice cream (wow... what a way to go.....)

Yep, the heat is gross here in Toronto. It has been 33°C all day but with the humidity it feels more like 40+°C. Not a breeze to be found, not even a warm one.

was watching BT this morning and they were talking about the heat alerts for Toronto, not fun! On the bright side they are keeping all public pools open late, or you can head over to the lake, supposed to be a few degrees cooler there.

Here in Stratford it will be 33c with the humidity 39c.
Did I say how much I love my air conditioner?

It's 95 degrees here and humid, and some folks in our area still don't have their electric back from last Friday's storm. My sister's church (which is air conditioned) has kept their doors opened so that those who need it can camp out in the social hall where it's cool, or even take a shower (this is a big, BIG church). Otherwise, even our older patients where I work (who are always cold) are too hot.

we sent some hydro crews from here down to your area to help, hopefully you get the power on again soon.
So nice that your church is helping people out! What a blessing.

Checking in from St. Louis. It is 8:50 in the morning and it is already 92! Yuck! We're headed to a high of 108 today and 110 tomorrow. For real? Good news is that supposedly we'll have just one more hot day on Sunday and then a storm and cool front will move through. Then we should have a couple days of 88-90's.
