My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
I will be turning on Christmas lights Nov.3 can't wait. Our Christmas season starts on the Santa Claus Parade, this year on Nov.17th Winnipeg, Manitoba. Parade is at night because all the floats are covered in lights. It is magical, have been going with my children for years. It is a tradition in my family that we look forward to all year. I live in the Interlake, so we make the hour drive to the city early in the morning. We all wear our santa hats all day and enjoy the festivities at The Forks Market. After the parade there are Fireworks at The Forks. Truly magical.
There is nothing special we typically do, but this year, we will start a tradition in my house. I am going to start the "Elf on the Shelf" tradition with my kids. I will be getting the Elf out, presenting them with the book, and the dvd. I actually got them each the plush too, that way they each have one. I am going to give them these, on St. Nicholas Day, in their shoes.
