Over here in the UK, we're getting pumpkin spice latte for the first time this year! I've got some friends who lived in the USA for a few years and they're VERY excited they can get it over here now!!!

I grew up with an open fire, which was mainly used at Christmas, so for me toast or crumpets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crumpet - dunno if you have them in the states) toasted over the fire is the smell/taste of christmas.

I just saw Eggo Waffles in pumpkin spice flavor, and I must say I was so tempted...I'm trying to be good, though!

Anything spicy - ie Gingerbread, Cinnamon, Nutmeg has got my seal of approval!!!!!!!

My drink of choice is (I think I mentioned this before) Gingerbread Latte but as WhyChristmas mentioned, Starbucks have finally brought out a Pumpkin Spice Latte and I can't WAIT to give that a try!!!!!!!!!

I love ginger bread latte too and look forward to trying the pumpkin flavours this year in the uk.

Flavours I associate with the winter holidays are cranberry, pumpkin, treacle, cinnamon, mulled wine, ginger, nutmeg, peppermint, spiced apple, clementines, rum and baileys.

Scents such as pine, burning fires, cold air, cloves, holly berries, roasted ham all make me think of christmas.

I am getting totally excited and keep day dreaming about a turkey and cranberry relish sandwich. There's something festive and Thanksgiving-ish about it and I can't wait. I almost went to get one of those cans of cranberry sauce to cut off a sliver and put on a turkey sandwich. hah hah.

I really look forward to the different holiday coffee creamers.

My son gets really excited when he sees the candy canes in the stores... he loves them.

Unfortunately I don't like neither pumpkin nor ginger flavors. That doesn't make it easy.

But I do like tea or candles with apple and a hint of cinnamon (not to strong though) flavors. I have to take a look at starbugs seasonal coffees, maybe there is one without pumpkin or ginger.

You might enjoy their Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha that comes out for Christmas. No spices, just a smooth chocolate mint flavor.
