Thank you all for your comments and thoughts. I am collecting all the info, links, etc. that I can so that I can give them to her and maybe help her get started. Once she starts I think she'll find her own ideas and it will go from there. Right now, she's just at a loss and can't think of anything that would help her or how to even start. Thank you all again.

hey sweety, have you ever heard of the "Merry Christmas From Heaven" collection? i work in a flower shop & we have a bit of it in there. i'm sure you could search it online & find it. it's all about their loved 1 celebrating in Heaven. very pretty things. i think the biggest thing is to find lots of different things for her memory tree. foods she liked, shows she liked, colors she liked. photos are nice but it may help her to see other things that remind her of her daughter.

throughout life she will stumble on things every where that remind her of her daughter, maybe it would be good to have alot of those things in 1 place @ 1 time.

i will be praying for your family.

Thank you merrymistletoe, I have never heard of that collection but I will look it up for sure. I thought about the addition of her favorite things to the tree as well. Thank you for the info. I really appreciate it.

Memory Tree

The loss of a child is heartbreaking. My condolence, to your cousin. Memory trees represent the person. Any item can be placed on tree. Example would be starting with child's birth,a rattle or teddy bear, words attach a satin ribbon to item and place on tree. year one,a pair of baby shoes, left white or painted gold, attach a white satin ribbon.Use items representing different ages of child. Could be a pair of earrings, place in a sheer fabric bag with a ribbon. A necklace, favorite stuffed animal, toy, doll etc. Tree could have all white lights with white ribbon on items or colored lights with different colored ribbon. Use photos along with items. Any item that has a special memory for your cousin,it is her daughters' memory tree so anything can be placed on it that makes her feel comforted.
