My Merry Christmas Announcement

Christmas Together We're here year round and even though we are scattered all over the world and most of us have never met face-to-face we find ways to celebrate the season together. From our annual Christmas exchanges to scheduled chats our Christmasing together is discussed here.

Give Kindness @ Christmas

Hello to all you wonderful Christmas creatures out there! I was inspired to start this thread by something I read elsewhere. ok here goes......

Some may call this "pay it forward", I call it Christmas Kindness. from now all through the season, let's all do random acts of kindness for others. So often people are rushed & too busy this time of year to respond to someone else's need. the elderly person in line @ the supermarket-help them unload their cart, the meter that's about to run out on someone-stick a few coins in for them, the person behind you in the drive thru-pay for them (if it's not too much), the cashier-give her $1 & tell her to buy her some coffee on her/his break, that person you always see alone-give them a candy cane & wish them a very Merry Christmas, that UPS/delivery driver offer them a big Thank you & Merry Christmas.

We all love this time of year but sadly for others it can be the loneliest time of year. To 1 person you maybe the only happiness they will witness this season. We never know what impact we may have on others & now is a wonderful time to do just that...make an impact on others....show them Christmas!!!!

Tell us here all about it so others may get some ideas for things to do.

That's a great idea. I wish people could just be kinder to each other in general.

Having worked retail for most of the 1980's, I like to go into department stores and give encouragement to the sales clerks at this time of year... tell them they do good work, tell a joke... something light-hearted to keep their spirits up at their MOST stressful time of year.

hey guys today i was feeling pretty happy & wanted to share it w/ someone, so i did.

the lady behind me @ Mcdonalds was treated to a free breakfast. bless her heart, she looked confused when the cashier told her (i was looking from my rearview mirror). i don't know, maybe she thought it was someone she knew. i told him to tell her to have a good day & God bless her. i left for work feeling even happier, how cool is that?

merrym, that's beautiful! I'd be too shy to do it.

Mr. bought a bag of M&Ms for a helpful store cashier the other day, but the cashier wasn't allowed to accept them because of store policy. But he said, "I accept them in here!" and patted his heart.
