Christmas Controversy & Opinion Visit Defend Christmas.com Presented by Defend Christmas, this forum covers the difficult topics of the season -- from the famed and fabled War on Christmas to church and state debates to using the star or the angel on the Christmas tree. Modern Christmas celebration has it's complications -- schools are divided, some Christmas light displays are too much, some even argue that it is better to call it a "holiday" tree. Some merchants won't even say "Merry Christmas"! Where there is controversy, there is insanity. Even in Christmas.

I take them down right after New Years, although, anything that is winter/snow related stays out til spring. I have a mixture of Christmas related and Snowman related decor.

We put ours up the day after thanksgiving (we don't really do the Black Friday thing, we') and take them down after Epiphany (I probably spelled that wrong though) but i usually keep one or two things out all year long just because i'm... well... me!

tree Up!

They go up the day after Thanksgiving (my wife makes me wait until then...otherwise it would be the first week of Nov.).
Then I am "allowed" to keep them up until the day after New Years!
=)

Mine usually go up the weekend before Thanksgiving and come down the 1st week of January. I would also love to keep them up longer but I drive my husband nuts as it is lol

They go up the weekend after Thanksgiving (though now that I'm in Canada in a household of Christmas non-nuts who put the decorations up the 2nd week of December, I dunno what I'll do now ), and come down around Epiphany.
