I don't think here in the USA we had the full picture of her politics and the divisiveness she caused. However, to my recollection Thatcher was the first and only female PM and that, I would think, would set her aside as a historic figure.

Annette Funicello's death was just announced...Sad...My very first crush...Or was it Ann-Margaret from "Viva Las Vegas"! In any event, Annette is gone, suffered greatly...

We do? Where's the other one? I'll look into merging the two if so.

Haven't seen that story yet. I had heard that she was sick for some time. Sad nonetheless.

She had M.S. and was really ravaged when I saw her on an interview program a few years ago...And only 70...which, when you are fifty, is like the day after tomorrow!!!

Haven't you heard? 50 is the new 30. I'm sticking with that because I hit 50 later this year. Hitting it kinda hard too, it appears...

I find that at 50, I have the mind to figure out the things that baffled me at 20 and thirty, but my body won't do what I figured out like it would have at 20 or 30...God's cruel joke I think...but for men, age is the great equalizer! Woman get the attention then get old, men get no attention and then get distinguished! There are a fair amount of ladies out there who find grey hair and a sense of humor to be just the ticket!!! THANK GOD!!!

I think they like senility too. Fortunately for some of us, we don't have to fake that.
