Spring is in the air

Yes, I'm a Christmas lover (of course) but I also enjoy observing the changing of the various seasons.

Right now, there is a beautiful rainstorm over my neck of the woods (it's a bit cold, as it's a late winter, early spring storm) but it's so...welcome to see the start of a new season (I LOVE winter weather, but by late February, I get sick of it).

So I stepped outside and watched the rain fall from my front porch, and then noticed that my trees are JUST starting to bloom. I went out and plucked one of the young buds. Stuff like this, it let's you know you are witnessing God's work. It was just a nice experience.

the last couple of days here have been lovely, lots of sun, warm and it smells like spring! I even have tulips coming up in the garden already.

I heard some yesterday, too!

Friday was a busy day at the office, but I was able to duck out for a quick walk around the block. I was happy to find that the sun was out, and also strong---for the first time this spring, it felt warm, and it felt GOOD!

At my office, I sit next to a window that overlooks the atrium, which has skylights over it. In the fall and the spring, the sun falls through the skylights directly on my desk for part of the morning, and I really enjoy that. Unfortunately, some remodeling is planned, and my desk will be moved at least temporarily, so I'll miss my "personal" sunlight.

We're having a sunny Easter today (although it's supposed to cloud up throughout the day), and I'm looking forward to more warm, sunny weather.

I love the turn of the seasons. The start of spring is always such an uplifting experience after the darkness and coldness of winter.

Our winter is lingering. Spring is trying very hard to make her entrance.

I enjoy the spring in the aspect that I love to get outside and work in the garden and such but I hate (yes I know that's a strong word), but really hate the seasonal allergies that come along with he spring and summer. They kill me everytime I go outside to do something, I pay for it for about a week or so. I have to keep the central air running 24/7 during those months. And when it is nice, you can barely sit outside without the mosquittos making a meal out of you. But, it is nice to get back out to the garden again and start to prep for the planting season starting the first week of May....
