So do you think this would be a good idea?

I've been saving Christmas cards for the last few years, and I got to thinking of a neat way to re-use them:

If you had enough cards, what if you could turn them into a calendar? Not just a monthly calendar, but a daily calendar (like the old "The Far Side" daily calendar's they used to have)...

So maybe cut the image on the front of the Christmas card, tape it onto some cardstock paper with the dates on them at the top, and put them in a rolodex...or something like that.

That way, every single day, you could flip to a new image of Christmas!

I love your idea! It's a great way to make use of old Christmas cards that you don't want to get rid of.

I think I will use my old cards to make an advent calendar for the month of December or maybe from the start of the season in November. Thanks for the inspiration!! Goodluck with your own, don't forget to show us a photo of your finished product!

Christmas Tree

I love the idea of a little bit of Christmas every day! I don't have one crafty bone in my body so I'm afraid I wouldn't even attempt it, but I'd love to see a photo of the finished product when you've finished!

One year I collected all of the Santa cards and made a year Calendar. I had enough Santa's for two years worth. It is a great idea and you will have fun making it. Enjoy!
