I've been listening to this station this weekend, and a lot of their commercial go something like this: "Celebrating Christmas all year long - with Christmas in July!"
So "Christmas in July" is still in effect (for now)! I expect that format change to kick in though by July 31st...
So were there any other stations that went "Christmasy" back on July 25th?!?
I haven't gotten wind of any others, KWasser.
Listening to KQLA from their listen link is all Christmas. When I recorded KQLA via DAR.fm a total different non Christmas station plays. While I was disappointed, the music was/is a quirky mix that I found quite appealing! The DAR station identifies as KQ-Lava.
I did manage to manually record (via Adobe Audition) a couple of hours (?) of KQLA Christmas for my Christmas music archives.

Just found out WJSJ 105.3 in Jacksonville is playing Christmas music I'm guessing their changing formats but I'm enjoying it while I can .

WJSJ isn't in the DAR.fm station list. Really no point in adding it right now either. Hopefully there is an oline listen link at the station webpage (The page is blocked for me at work). If so, i'll record a couple of hours with Adobe Audition from home.
As bankruptcy receiver Scott Savage sells off some of the former Tama Broadcasting stations, another one is preparing to launch a new format.
Spanish Tropical “Caliente 105.3” WJSJ Fernandina Beach/Jacksonville dropped its format this afternoon and began stunting with Christmas music. In explaining the motives behind the change to their listeners on Facebook, the station stated it was lack of advertiser support that did the former format in.
In terms of what’s next, Fun105.com and Fun1053.com were registered by station OM Joel Widdows earlier this month. Based on the current makeup of the market, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a Classic Hits format.
