I believe that, ultimately, each of us defines Christmas by how each of us celebrates it. Some focus their celebration on the religious aspects, others on the non-religious aspects. I imagine most of us fall somewhere in the middle, enjoying the holiday where the aspects overlap. It's unfortunate that there is conflict over the nature of Christmas when it has no single definition, no "right way" to celebrate. Christmas will be what we will it to be. Those who accuse Christmas celebrants of trying to force religion down the public's throat do not understand that Christmas is not a single color, but an entire spectrum.

I agree with Merry, "ultimately, each of us defines Christmas by how each of us celebrates it"
