First major snowstorm of 2013

So is the upper Midwest experiencing the first major snowstorm of the season right now?

It is early October, so yeah, it sounds like that region is due for some snow...

Snowflake Wow.....Snow I'm lovin it!

I remember back in the early 90's my aunt came to visit with me here in Montreal from Pennsylvania, it was for about 4 days.

And it was sunny on a couple of the days, but it was windy and very cold.....how cold you ask? Well we had snow just shortly after the 10th of October. Just scattered flurries with some gusts, but no accumulation to think of.

So it's possible to have snow in October here in Montreal.
I love watching the first snow fall arrive, it makes me feel like a youngster all over again.

I saw reports of the snowstorm on our local news here in CT. What a difference. We've been experiencing above normal temps here.

I know that Wyoming got hit, and so did N/S Dakota all the way down to Wis.
I just have 66 degree temps in the desert in AZ.

It's crazy the strange weather everyone has been having. We're having above average temps here as well. We should cool down next week.

I'm from Glen Burnie, MD and I feel the same way... I would love a early/unexpected bit of snow to kick off the holiday season.

My 8yr old wasn't able to use her snowsuit bibs at all last year and I know she like many of her schoolmates are looking forward to at least one or two snow days this year!!!
