I kind of have the feeling that we will start Thanksgiving week from our conversation.

I'm thinking the 29th of November. I usually go for a Friday night and the 6th of December is too late for me. It's one of my favourite nights of the year.

Last night as we were driving around, I saw that someone had put up a little Christmas tree in their front window. That got me really excited!!!

This is the first decorations that I have seen go up around my area. We decided that we are going to put ours up on the weekend of the 24th-25th.

That's a good plan... Especially if your not planning to go out in the hustle and bustle and do some shopping, stay at home and get your decorating all done; very nice!

Yup, me too! You know what, my wife and I would always take a day off at the end of the week from work, and we used to do that all the time when our children were little and in school. We'd go to Toys-R-Us, Target, K-mart and places like that and do some serious toy shopping. We would do that for 2 reasons, first, the average person would be at work - less people shopping. Second, the kids were at school and we would be able to sneak things into the house without them around....

Plus, we would sort of create a date day as well, by going out for a morning coffee and then have lunch together and such....really, how often do you get the chance to do that with your loved one?
