Christmas food... Yum

Christmas Day is our big feast, for us at least. And whether you eat on Christmas Eve or Day, what do you eat?

For us its...

1. Swedish Meatballs
2. Honey Ham
3. Mashed Potatoes
4. Green Beans
5. Jello Salad (Green Jello, Cabbage, Whip Cream, Pinapple)

And then random stuff we add in!

This year for dessert we are going to try this gorgeous cake we found in the special edition Southern Living we just got.

Christmas food is the best!!

In our family, the traditional feast varies very little from year to year. We always have:

Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Candied Yams
Green bean casserole
Baked Beans
Escalloped corn
Burn and serve rolls
A veggie tray with dip
Cranberry sauce

and for dessert:
Pumpkin pie, chocolate cream pie, banana pie and usually a fruit pie of some kind (apple, cherry, etc.) We're all about the pies on Christmas!

Nope...

You mix up jello and then once it starts to firm up, you add the shredded cabbage - Stir - Pineapple - Stir - and Marshmallows. Pour half of it into a mold and to the rest of it add whip cream and fold in. After letting the first layer firm up a little, you add the second layer and keep it in the fridge 'til firm!
