Gift Giving

I have a question for anyone who can answer, more like an opinion- really, there is no wrong answer. Do you find it wrong for adults to tell you what you should get them for Christmas. I know children usually express what they want, but shouldnt adults kind of understand what Christmas is all about. I mean, is it my imagination or has this become a commercial holidays... Maybe I am wrong. When you take your time out to buy a gift, wrap it and give it, it's so the other person is surprised. Please give me your input...

Thanks and Happy Holidays

There are those that look at Christmas gifts in a practical way. Give and get things you need and can use. I don't see it as being wrong but just not as enjoyable as being surprised.

I have made it a point for years to tell people I dont need anything so when they do give me a gift its a suprise & I love it because they took the time to think of me.

I, too, like presents to be a surprise. It makes wrapping it worthwhile. I like to give surprises as well. If the recipient knows what it is, it seems just a formality to wrap and label it.
