Thanksgiving traditions with my family usually include a bunch of food, football and some beer. Of course the day after Thanksgiving my wife and I put up our Xmas tree. I went shopping on Black Friday last year for th 1st time. And the last time. This year I'm sleeping in.

My best friend and I will head over to kmart first thing in the morning to do a little shopping. Then it's back home to listen to the parade on TV while the pepperoni bread is cooking in the oven and hubby and I are getting the turkey/stuffing ready. Later in the morning hubby will go to the local highschool football game while me and kids watch the rest of the parade on TV. We spend the rest of the day watching football, eating, enjoying the company if family and friends and plan our black friday shopping trip. Black friday we shop and then we decorate.

We've always put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. It was for a while (before we moved) a tradition that MIL always did the Thanksgiving dinner and then SIL and I would alternate Christmas dinner every year.

Aside from the traditional turkey dinner, we don't really have any traditions yet but definitely want to start some now that my oldest is old enough to remember this stuff.

The only real tradition that I can say that I have is the day after Thanksgiving, I am outside putting up the Christmas lights and other various yard decorations I have while playing Christmas music on my boom box.

We like to watch some of the parade, cook our meal, sometimes put the tree up. Mostly just enjoying the food.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I haven't missed a year since I can remember. I still get excited and tingly when Santa ends the parade....
Then off to Mother in Laws house for Thanksgiving dinner and each one of us says what they are thankful for. We ear ourselves silly and then play board games and go for walks until it is time to get the cold cuts out for dinner......by then it is soon time to head home and gear up for getting the decorations out the next day.
