I have a glass ball that has been painted on ( flower like design) that my grandparents gave to me back in the 90's and said it was from my great great grandparents but .... Anyway I don't use it. Keep it in a box. Then I have some of my grandparents like a bottle brush wreath and a few others.

Mine is a sparkly white glass ball that was my mother's. It was her absolute favorite ornament because of the way it sparkled in the Christmas lights. It is the last ornament to go on the tree every year, and the first to be taken off so it can be wrapped up carefully and put away for the next year.

I also have some mercury glass ornaments that were on DH's parents' first tree...from around 1956 or 7....they are so sweet...I've found several similar ones in antique stores..I think these are Shiny Brites.

I found a whole box of Shiny Brites and didn't buy them...sure wish I had. I'm planning on starting a collection and eventually I want to do a whole tree with them, even if it's just a small tree.

We have a Silver Star tree topper that has been in the family for a long while. Some of the lights have burnt out and they are hard to replace so now its kept away in good condition.

a round glass ball, with a old fashion couple on it skating. It says "our first christmas 1981" which was our first christmas as a married couple.
