The previous owner was a landscaper, so she created an English Garden - it's one of the things that sold us on the house. Wisteria growing along the back porch, tons of roses, bleeding hearts, peonies, clematis, lavender, lilacs, poppies, alliums, pussy willow, forsythia, columbine, anemonies, boxwood, daffodils, iris, tulips, babys breath among many others, but my claim to fame is our herb garden!

We have a lot growing here. Most I dont know. Previous owners planted those.

We have, red, pink and yellow rose bushes. A lilac bush(or tree?) Some flower that bloom at night, really huge too. Irises, daffodils(my fav), tulips, and thats it, I think. Well, plus the one I dont know.

We have these really awesome ones, they are purple, grow like a vine, the petels are kind of sqiggly, and the one part(dont know parts of flowers, sorry) are yellow. Wish I knew what they are called.

We have a lot around here, roses out front, poppies in the back, snapdraggons, marigolds, a lot of veggies, rosemary, lavender. What ever looks nice we try to mix in a little.

holly

I have a holly plant which is normally outside and goes inside with christmas...and I have a banyan tree in my living room... I found it 20 years ago on the street.. someone threw it away and he only had 3 leaves left...I thought it was so pathetic that I saved him... gave him fresh ground and talked to him to cheer him up...(donīt laugh) and now 20 years later he is about 5 ft tall and full of leaves... he moved with me several times...and I would never give him away

We live in an apartment and the new owner took it upon himself to remove any and all flowers, bushes, etc. around our buildings. So, right now, we have a lot of DIRT surrounding our buildings.

Oh, but he assures us this is "just one more thing I'm doing to improve the living conditions". Right. Because those flowers and bushes were just horrible. I hate having beautiful, blooming things surround me when I come home after a long day.
I swear that man is a recovering brain donor!

I hate that when new owners remove everything beautiful because they feel it is easier for them to mow & keep up the lawn if they don't have them in there way. Can you & some other tenates talk to them about a community flower garden?
