I want to wish all the mom's here a Happy Mother's Day
May all of you have a fantastic Mother's Day tomorrow & enjoy the day with your family.May you blessed with a great day with your children if not in person by that loving card or phone call to say, "Happy Mother's Day mom & I love you. I know everyone will be busy so I wanted to post this tonight for everyone.
And I do believe Mother's Day celebrates its 100th Anniversary this year.
My mother always said, "Mark the day - I don’t care if I get a present, but I deserve a phone call or a visit on my Birthday and Mother’s Day and Christmas."
I'm taking my mom and my God-mother out for Mother's Day brunch to enjoy pickerel, eggs, roast potatoes or homefries, roast beef, omelettes, salads, etc.
It's been a tradition with my mom and I for five or six years. Last year I was going to invite my God-mother, but my mom had suffered a stroke a few months earlier and her depth perception wasn't good so I didn't want to have to take care of her and my dad's older sister (who has a few limitations of her own) at the same time. This year my mom is more sturdy on her legs and she'll be able to navigate better so I called my aunt (God-mother) and she's very excited since her four daughters who live out of town aren't coming to visit.
I also picked up two romance novels that were made into TV movies in DVD format because my mom still can't read more than a few lines at a time. She'll love watching the movies, it doesn't take as much concentration.
