We like the christmas tree to be in place before any other decorating is done. That will probably go up the weekend before Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving, I put out my other decorations. I shoud say i start that day, and if I'm too tired I do some more Saturday and Sunday.

Is that your house in the pic?! It's gorgeous!!! I'm going to be really busy with wedding stuff during the time that I usually decorate for Christmas, so I might have to do it a lot later than I usually do. I'm not sure. The wedding is December 6, we're leaving for our honeymoon the next morning and won't be back until the 12th of December. So we might just get our tree and everything up after getting back from the honeymoon. That or we find time to do it before we leave....but we're getting a real tree this year, so I don't want to get it too early and have it dry out before Christmas...I'm not sure. Someone make a decision for me!

We start decorating for Christmas the weekend before Thanksgiving. The lights go on the house that weekend and then the weekend after Thanksgiving is decorating the inside of the house.

I will start as soon as I can get all the Halloween stuff packed away, normally the first week in November. It takes a couple of weeks to get everything set up and I do my trees last.

Reine...No, sadly that was not a picture I can claim as my own. But here's a picture of our Christmas tree last year.

BTW..A huge congratulations on your Dec. 6th wedding date. What a wonderful time of the year to get married. You will be busy, no doubt.

Here in the UK we traditional put up our Christmas Tree and deorations twelve days before Christmas and take them back down twelve days after christmas - which is too long for me as they drive me mad after about two weeks - but my DH would have them up on the 1st of december if it was left to him. This year I am going to be making more of an effort to be full of Christmas cheer (fingers crossed)

It's a tradition in our house to decorate the inside on November 4th and to put the outside lights on the day before Thanksgiving.

I start decorating the house and the tree the day after Thanksgiving. The sooner the better.
