I thought tht all of us here could share what we love the most about christmas
My favourite things are
.Everyone is just so much jollier than every other time in the year
.My whole family gets together
.I love listening to christmas songs
. I love watching christmas movies
. I love looking around the shops and seeing everything decorated and looking nice ( All the shops look so dull without christmas decorations up such as tinsel)
.I love the cold nights
.I love going past all the houses and seeing all the lighs on
I love everything about the Christmas season, including all the stuff you listed! I love decorating my moms house for her. She's an older lady, but she's ridiculously busy and active, so it's not that she's too feeble or frail to decorate herself, she just doesn't have the time because she's literally ALL OVER THE PLACE! lol But I love to help make her house festive! I also love cooking with her. My mom is the epitome of a soul food chef. She has not used recipes or cook books to produce Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner in about 30 years. She uses her memory and "eyes" her ingredients. It's pretty impressive. Since she's an older woman who lives alone, she only cooks when BEGGED or for holidays. So every Thanksgiving and Christmas since I left for college, I take it upon myself to follow my mom around the kitchen, watching her measure from memory and season to taste...it's like watching a master at work. I can only pray that when it's time for me to start preparing the meals, I'm as good as her.
But yea...that's something that I really look forward to/love about Christmas.
"I love smiling...smiling's my favorite!"
I love listening to music, watching christmas movies, shows, cartoons etc.,i love when we decorate the tree, when its a cloudy december afternoon and it looks like its about to snow, how the days become shorter and just the feeling you get a feeling that comes to you natuarlly.
the most wonderful time of the year
I just love the pure goodness that Xmas symbolizes. From a religious standpoint to the secular. In both cases it's about giving of yourself for the sake of others. One day a year, people aren't worried about how much they can make or get, they're trying to give as much as possible. Of course commercialism comes into it but I ignore it pretty good.
I love all the family getting together
seeing the babies enjoy xmas and be amazed by the lights & presents
It reminds me of some brilliant christmas's i had as a child
I also love all sitting tound together watching xmas movies with hot chocolate & cookies mmmm
The feeling of Christmas! I can't explain it. I wake up with a smile on my face, I go to bed with a smile on my face and I smile all day long. I love seeing my son count down and make his Christmas gift list (which he will change and revised hourly). I love the shopping and seeing all the store decorations. I love the music. Going to Christmas themed movies. I LOVE wrapping presents. I really LOVE wrapping presents. I like the outside to be as special as the inside. I love connecting with family and friends through cards and visits. I love baking with my family. Sitting on the couch with hot chocolate and watching a TV special (Rudolph even though I have it on DVD - can't miss it when it comes on TV). I love sitting with a cup of hot tea in the dark looking at the Christmas tree listening to music and thanking God for all the blessings he has bestowed on me.The world is a special place at Christmas time.
I love first and foremost that it's the day we celebrate Christ's birthday.
I love the decorations, the lights, the trees, everything glittery
I love the special foods you only get at Christmas - eggnog, fudge, etc.
I love buying presents, carefully choosing something I know everyone will love
I love baking cookies
I love listening to the music
I love the movies
I love the anticipation
I love snow!
I love it not being hot outside
I love hot chocolate with cinnamon and marshmallow fluff
I love the giggles and secret smiles of little ones trying to keep presents a secret
I love that my daughter is following in my footsteps of being a Christmas nut, just like I followed my mother.
I love that there are others just as nuts about Christmas as me and we all come here to share!
