Funny you mention pirates....from my blog record of our first cruise last April
there is this entry for the kids about Captain Jack Sparrow...
Catalina, from afar and from the deck was spectacular to look at. We had a very calm sea this morning with brilliant blue skies that gave way to perfect 75 degree weather when we got to Catalina. The harbor there reminded me so much of the look of the harbor in Pirates of the Carribean that I joked when we got off the tender about the whereabouts of Captain Jack Sparrow. Two minutes later we walked up the gangplank and who was there to greet us but Captain Jack himself, looking ever the pirate, and his saucy wench who insisted that we have our picture taken with them. Capatin Jack told your mother to squish his tush, which she loudly protested and, of course, declined to do.
I'm trying to set up another encounter with Cap'n Jack for this cruise. Only this time I'm going to have him hit on Sandy -- and then I'll pretend to get in a fight with him.
I love cruises. They allow for so much creativity.
