My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
This is my favorite time of year in many respects. In about a month the questions are going to start rolling in. And there will be tons of them from the kooks.
But I'm not surprised there are no questions yet. Everybody is thinking about baseball. But once they figure out that the Cubs didn't go to the world series again they will have no choice but start questioning Santa Claus.
I don't know where they're getting this stuff either, Ed. And I'm sure that when they realize the Cubs didn't go to the world series and the Patriots won the Superbowl, and Tony Stewart won the Nextel Cup, I'm sure they'll come back.
Actually, Santa and Mrs. Claus have no food problems whatsoever. In fact, they operate one of the largest farms in all the world. Just as Santa has a toyshop at the top of the world he also has the world's largest greenhouse. Mrs. Claus is quite proud of her tomatoes!
Mr. Claus and his wife are very avid gardeners, you see.
I've got a question: Most people talk about "the good old days" when everyone was nicer and there was more snow, etc. Have you noticed a general decline in the Christmas spirit over the last 50 or so years? If you aren't old enough to comment (I'm sucking up now!), please ask an older elf or even Santa himself. Thanks.
