Reindeerelf - I agree with you -- it is a GREAT time to start getting serious about getting ready for Christmas!!! Things always take SO MUCH LONGER than I think they will take! And it is such a wonderful luxury to take my time doing things for Christmas. It is so much fun when I'm not stressed and tired!

I too am torn!! I don't want to rush the summer away, there is something so special about the days being long!!

But, I love the fall and Christmas so much!! I have already started to shop. I also am planning, planning and planning! My DH and I made cookies the other day (trying a recipe). My DS LOVES this website as he is my tester and thinks its great I am "trying" things out!!!

So, I am starting to prepare for the holiday but I am embracing the summer and everyday as a gift not to be thrown away!!!

Merry Summer Christmas

I've started making a list of what to get people. A lot of our gifts are scarpbooks, or photo calendars, so they're not purchased until December. Amazon usually has a big toy sale during the summer, so I'll probably buy the few kids toys we need to get then.

I wouldn't wish the summer away. In our latitude it's a very special time. But isn't it fun to know we're on our way to that very special season and to start preparing for it?

ughh i don't like summer at all. Me and the hot weather don't mix at all. When it's almost 100 degrees here every day in kansas and i'm outside i often invision how it's gonna feel when winter gets here again and it's cold. We got a blizzard last year that saw 13 inches of snow. I hope it does that again here lots. I don't like the hot weather at all.

I have to say that I hate the summer but love winter time. I dont like the hot weather and would rather cold and snow all the time.
Its hard to beat the long winter nights
