Welcome Friday and a four day weekend for me.

Getting together with my dad on Sunday, but other than that no major plans other than some early Spring cleaning.

I have to tackle the walk-in closet and bathroom first, but hoping to get a chance to sweep and vacuum; lots of cat hair around here.

Hoping to get O'Malley to the groomers next Saturday for a good brushing.

Here's a little Friday treat for you; Kevin Hearn from the Bare Naked Ladies is on keyboards and a quick chat with Al Waxman the King of Kensington and former Cagney and Lacey star from Friday Night with Ralph Benmergui way back.

Stay jolly! -santa dance-

Enjoy the visit with your dad!

Merry Friday ~
It’s going to be cloudy with a chance of showers today, highs near 50 degrees. Not too much going on, just a typical day of errands and chores. I’m also having lunch with my youngest and then we’re going to visit my parents. That’s about it. I hope everyone eryone has a nice day!
xx

Enjoy lunch with your daughter and praying for your father is improving!

Happy Friday, friends! Day off - catching on some shows I have missed. DH and I are celebrating Valentine's Day with a low-key night at home - he's planning on cooking and we'll watch a movie. Since we both work this weekend and the kids both have activities that they are in, the kids are staying with my in-laws, they we will be off for our trip late Sunday night.

Hope you're all having a great day so far!

Good Friday afternoon! Mild and raining on and off today. Our area has mounds of snow everywhere, I’m looking forward to the city removing most of it, hopefully tonight. A Canada Post delivery truck and two more cars have gotten stuck on our street the last couple of days.

David’s surgery went well, thank you everyone for the well wishes. Now that the nerve block has worn off, he’s having to deal with the pain. I hate to see him like this, wish I could take it from him. I suspect it will be like this for a few days. I’m just glad I could take time off to be with him.

Hope everyone is having a great day so far.

I know it's tough to see him in pain, but I'm sure he appreciates you being there to help him. Sending more prayers!

Two people on my road still have their lights on...not sure how much longer it will last?

I passed by a home yesterday that still had candle blow molds on their porch. I wondered if they are to blame for the snow, but maybe they're just Christmas Wackos and I know a few so I'm cool with it.

Snow plows and sirens all day. The snow stopped for about 2.5 hours, but the winds were blowing stuff off the rooftops and snowbanks.

So many sirens and reports on the news of cars blocking certain roads.

I went out twice to run errands and it was hard to navigate in some places, but I never saw any close calls out there.

Where I was permitted to travel at 80 km, drivers were only go 50 or 60 due to the slush and difficulty finding their lanes that were all snow covered that's what we call driving according to conditions too bad not all drivers take such precautions.

About 10 minutes after a firetruck had gone one way, I got so irritated when three cars had to speed through the intersection to make their turn when you could clearly hear the siren from the ambulance approaching from another direction. I even pull over for funeral processions even if there is no police escort with them.

Going to chill with the O'cat and watch a movie or something.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Good Morning, Weekend Seekers!

Of course, we seek more than just weekends around these parts, but it will do for now, right!

And this will do to start off the day right:
Days to the Season: 271
Days to Christmas Day: 313

Want some icing on the cake?
Try this for taste:
We are now UNDER two weeks away from the 300-day Christmas Day Milestone marker and the commencement of a double-200's count pattern.
(Well! That makes me feel like I just can't wait for the weekend to arrive!)

It warmed up yesterday as promised, and we topped out at 64 degrees for an excellent Valentine's Day.
Today, it should truly be exceptional, at 68 rain-free degrees, before we drop to the low to mid 50's for tomorrow with a near 100 percent chance of precipitation.
Our current reading is 55 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
Enjoy your Weekend Eve.
Thanks Crown! Happy 2nd half of February!

Morning MMC and Happy February Weekend! I guess this is also President's Day Weekend for those of you who get the day off Monday. I do work but I'm not thinking about Monday on Saturday. We have some sun today and temperatures not terrible but not warm either. I hope you all enjoy the start to your Weekend!

Good Morning, Weekend Oasis Appreciators!

And each little weekend is an oasis, isn't it?
Much like our Milestone stops along the journey to Christmas and its wonderful Season.

So.
Let's look ahead to see what's up the road:
Days to the Season: 270
Days to Christmas Day: 312

Not far ahead, and about to come 'round the bend, is the 300-day Christmas Day Window, now down to 12 days off.
(So close to SINGLE DIGITS!)

Super nice here weather-wise, yesterday. Our high reached 67, and it was dry.
Today will be cooler, and it has begun with a light rain.
We commence this weekend at 52 degrees here.

Have a Sensational Saturday and a Winning Weekend, Everybody!

Merry Saturday MMC!
Not too much going on here today. I’m going to take Rocky for a walk as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I have to do some food shopping afterward. I’ll be at my parents house this afternoon. And we’ll just be in relaxing later tonight, we’re going to order pizza and watch a hockey game. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

********** EMERGENCY TRAVEL ALERT **********

Hey, Guys. Congratulate me. I just became a Great Uncle for the first time!
My older niece Lauren gave birth to a baby boy last night and my sister and I are just about to leave for Charlotte to see them. (First child born into the family in over 25 years!)
As such, an emergency countdowner will be needed for tomorrow morning only, as we will be spending the night there.

Thanks in advance!

Good Saturday morning! The sun is out and the roads have been cleared of the mountains of snow in my area= happiness. David had a pretty bad second night and has barely slept (as did I) but he is doing much better this morning and is in better spirits. I was able to remove his night shirt without causing him more pain, I’m getting the hang of this.

This morning we have to go to a clinic to change his bandages and we’ll look for a few things that he would need to make his life easier. Then I’ll catch up on some laundry and chores and we’ll watch some movies later on. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Friends,

I am basketballed out....

16 games in 4 days. So many people in the gym you couldn't find a seat. This week, I worked from 7:30 a.m. until 10ish....last night it was 11:30. I'm exhausted. No rest for the weary, though. Bambina has her own little game at 8:30. I'm about to leave to go set up the gym....as soon as I drink this little cup of coffee to get me going.

After ballgames, I have to go buy groceries and then come back and clean house. Doc is a little under the weather, so there is no time to rest. I'm kinda looking forward to getting in bed tonight, already.

Hope your weather is better than ours....we sit at 28 degrees. Saw where yesterday a place in Texas hit 99.

At this point, I'm not sure which one I would rather have.

Y'all be good. I hope to see you tonight.
