Watched 'The Shining' for the first time (entirely) this past weekend. I love, I mean LOVE Jack Nicholson, but this movie wasn't as scary as it was hyped up to be and I was a bit disappointed.

Supposedly they're making a new one that fits in with the original timeline and is not part of the remake universe.

It really was a breakthrough movie in that genre !! I hope the new one does it much more justice than Rob zombie's versions

It was really creepy movie. It's pretty funny this was one of the few movies that actually had me have hard time falling asleep the first time i watched it. Which always found funny since always was a fan of foreign horror movies that usually mare scary,

We watched it a few years ago on Netflix,
And were impressed too. Not a lot of modern day horror impresses my husband, and he was disturbed by it too.
