Question Who belongs in the Christmas Hall of Fame?

Several months ago we commissioned a survey that asked this question: If there were a Hall of Fame for Christmas, who would you put in it?

We have received thousands of responses, mostly offline, and there are some very interesting results that we will soon share.

But we have not asked the question here. We know the answers we get here will be very different -- or at least could be.

Since we are all experts here, I'd like to get your responses one by one -- all public facing. Give us one name or several, it doesn't matter.

Just tell us what you think.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Virginia O'Hanlon yet. I will also name Francis Pharcellus Church. If he hadn't published the letter, we never would have known about Virginia.

Another one that could easily be overlooked, but heavily influenced the way we celebrate Christmas is Queen Victoria.

Her husband Albert certainly needs some recognition as well. It was Albert who is credited with bringing the Christmas tree to England and that influenced the US and the rest of the world. By all accounts, Albert loved Christmas and made it a big deal for the Royal family.
