I tried that one year waiting until like a week before Christmas ( I was a lot younger then lol ) it was fun doing it but now with 19 grandkids I start early and love every minute of it. I imagine what they're will look like when they open their gift. Oh how I love Christmas.

I'm too much of a planner to shop last minute. The stores and roads are too crazy for me the closer it gets to Christmas

No last minute is not for me. Too many crowds. I actually like to be done by Thanksgiving, and lately, as I get older, I shop a lot online.

I shop about 85% online and go to the stores and fight the crowd black friday and beyond with my family.

I would imagine most of us are probably early shoppers since we all love Christmas. I can’t imagine doing it last minute. I am too much of a control freak for that. I use an excel spreadsheet for my list and menu! My husband does it last minute every year, but guess what- he can’t wrap! So guess who gets stuck bolting the basement door shut surrounded by wrapping paper, bows, tape, and scissors while the ham is in the oven every year lol! I’m used to my gifts being in bags by now (its hilarious since its slim pickins for those too, he often gets the ugliest bags available because there is nothing else on the shelves, hahaha!)

All of my presents have been bought and wrapped for weeks. I let my daughter purchase the gift she wanted me to give to her fiance. Well she ordered it last minute and here it is, the evening of Dec. 22 - and no gift yet. With tomorrow being Sunday, she better hope it gets here on Christmas Eve, or I will be wrapping up a photo - and of course, the gift is an ugly Christmas sweater (he collects them) that he won't get to wear until after Christmas!!!

I start picking up small gifts in June and keep them in a bin I have in my closet. By the time it comes to putting up trees in November, I have many presents wrapped and under the trees (keeps the curious felines from getting under those trees!). I do enjoy shopping on-line Black Friday and afterwards. I go out shopping with my brother every year on Christmas Eve as he waits till the last minute but I usually only buy a last minute gift card and scratch off lottery tickets for my husband's stocking.

Not anymore. Too busy in the last week's and the crowds are crazy everywhere. I like to have everything sorted by Cyber Monday. The food shop in the last days is stressful enough (but still sorta fun)

I am not a last minute shopper and I love making my list, and checking it twice, but I like to pick up some perishables for some people, like cheeses, nuts, mustards, beers, etc... so I count those as "last minute".

I was always prepared well ahead of time so I could enjoy the festivities. I was fortunate to work for a college so I had three weeks off for Christmas. The semester ended in mid-December and we didn't come back until a few days after the new year.

That said, I was always buying things spontaneously and cooking non-stop throughout my vacation.

I always start working on my list and shopping by September. I try to avoid the stores and the mobs after Thanksgiving. If I do have to go to a store .. or even .. GASP .. the mall after that, then I'll go either very very early or very very late in the day.

My grinchy ex gives everyone lottery tickets. I told him he was not allowed to do that with me. I also told him he had to wrap the gifts. He's not a good wrapper but he at least tried. Eventually he had one of his lady friends wrap for him. They always did such a nice job too.

We do our best to look for and get things throughout the year. Then I always take the 1st Friday in December off and we'll try to finish everything that day.

I've already started shopping for my kids. There's no way I could leave it so late. Can you imagine the stress? Lol
