No, worries @MerryCarey -- just wanted your opinion on what kind of crafters we should bring in for Christmas in July. I've talked to a few...but I'm not sure what would appeal. Scrappers, folks into crochet or needlepoint, etc.

I think for the exchanges we need to prepare and warn early about shipping issues, but at the end of the day I think we leave it up to our participants

Ask if your local PO has a bulk mailing unit. When the local schools around here first closed and they had to ship out the classwork packets to students to do at home, they took them to a bulk mail unit (not in my town but in a larger one close by), and had them all mailed at once.

I'm just a crocheter, so I don't know what's actually hot right now. If people have time on their hands, a "scrapbooking for beginners" could be a good draw. I know there are crocheters in the forums, and probably knitters too. A discussion of "what I'm making for Christmas this year" could be interesting. Folks who make their own Christmas cards could be a good draw.

With the Forever stamps in the U.S., you can use leftover Christmas stamps ... great. Just a reminder that the USPS offers a flat-rate overseas Christmas stamp that you can use for cards to most anywhere.
