Decorating for Fall

I am trying to decide when to decorate for fall this year. Typically, I wait until after Labor Day, so I do it the second week of September, but with the temps being in the 70's at times here, it's getting me in the mood!

When do all of you decorate? Do you think it's too soon to do next week?

My stuff will start coming out on September 1st. It may even come out earlier this week.

I think I may start tomorrow - I haven't really seen anyone around here doing it yet, but if I could at least get the inside done, I would be happy. I don't think I am off again until Friday, once I go back tomorrow night, so that would give me a good start!

I want fall so bad but it's hard to think about fall when the temps are still in the 90's. I'm ready.

I don't have a whole lot to put out. Some garland for above my kitchen cabinets, a centerpiece for my table, placemats, some grapevine pumpkins, and a wreath for my front door. I may look for a few more things this year.

Frostyman: I know what you mean! We're not quite that bad here anymore, but we still hit 85F the other day and that was too hot for me, for this time of the year. I am loving today - only the high 70's.

I have a good bit - I have a few things that are just Halloween or Thanksgiving themed, but most of mine are fall themed. I love country decor and my house is decorated like that all year around.

I love going to the craft fairs in the fall and get new stuff at each one every year. I know I will be picking stuff up for fall and Christmas again this year. (Hence the baskets - haha!)

I love going to craft fairs too but I always end up buying Christmas stuff and nothing else.

im getting like that too.i brought a febreze the other day that i get every fall called falling leaves and spice and it just makes me wanna start getting everything for fall out.it just has that smell to it that makes u know fall is almost here.maybe the second week of sept start taking everything out and start lighting my fall scent candles....fyi if u do use febreze and havent tried this smell u should especially if u love the fall.

This is the first year I ever had a Hobby Lobby and I can't get over how much they have. I just love that place. It is a little over priced, but with their sales and coupons, you can get stuff there affordable.

Fall is my very favorite, too. There is nothing better. Halloween is also my second favorite holiday, so it's just perfect.

It's a craft store, like Michaels, with some Pier One flare thrown in... but so much better.

I'm going up in the attic this weekend and pull out all of the Fall decorations and most likely we will put them up this weekend or next week sometime.


Then roughly around the second week of October, I will pull out the inside Halloween decorations out of the attic and start mixing them in with the Fall decorations; then, I will start setting up all the outside Halloween decorations; (which takes me a couple of days)....

I'm not sure yet either. Perhaps I will do it around the 2nd or 3rd week of September. Either way I will do it before it's officially Autumn..I'm ready for a change of scenery around here.
