Introduction

Hello,

I am very happy that I found this forum. I am here because I absolutely LOVE Christmas!! cheesy I love to decorate, shop, bake and spend time with family and friends. We also like to drive around and look at all the Christmas displays, eat out before or after, and just make a whole night out of it.

I do a pretty decent display every year considering that I do it by myself. It is nothing compared to some of the magnificent displays that I have seen. My sister has five kids, and my brother-in-law helps too, so they do a great one every year. Oh, and of course I always remember the reason for the season, and try not to lose sight of what we are celebrating while I am having fun.

I just wanted to say thank you for the nice welcome. I think I am really going to like it here. I have been on the internet for a very long time, but today is the first time I have ever posted anything on a forum. Please bear with me if I make a mistake because this is all very new to me. I forgot to mention that I am from the New York City area. (Part of NYC, but not actually in it).

I have been doing part of my Christmas display with a patriotic theme for the past six years to honor those who lost their lives here on 911, and for those who are serving our country. I didn't lose any family members on that terrible day, but I knew a lot of the firefighters that didn't make it out. As a matter of fact, my street has been renamed for one of the bravest who grew up on this block. I can't believe it is seven years on Thursday. I usually go down to ground zero to pay my respects a few times a year. Also, my cousin's daughter is in the Marines and may be going back to Iraq. Please remember all those who lost their lives that day, and their families. God Bless America!!
