Like everything else, Santa's Sleigh is a little different this year. But you know what? It's still #Christmas.
We started some deliveries this past week. One of our first was to a single Mom. Her needs were simply stated: she needed coats for the kids and stuff for a Christmas meal.
Santa's sleigh delivered.
But our sponsor left behind a little evidence...and we got caught. I received a very kind note from this single Mom who admitted to me that she gave the food we gave her to another single Mom. So, our red-faced sponsor went back with another delivery.
No big deal, right?
As we have seen before with Santa's Sleigh giving spurs giving. This nice lady asked if she could help with other Santa's sleigh projects, which of course was help that was gladly accepted. She jumped in by finding the food we were buying for "mostly free" and so far has found three other families to help.
From simple things come great things.
In this most unusual year I'm so grateful for simple things and the good cheer that can come from them.
