The Friday Night Knitting Club.
For months I was reading "Winter of the World" by Ken Follett. After such an intense, graphic novel, I had to pick up some lighter reading. So far, so good!

How do you like it so far? I started this book a few years ago and didn't get through it.

I love it!! [emoji316]

I actually saw the Poirot movie first, and had to buy the book. I am learning so many more details in the book.

Awesome! I will have to go back and finish it, then. I think I didn't get through because I got it from the library, I was busy, and it had to go back. ;-)

Interesting! I didn't know he'd written a book! How is it.
I just started it, it's pretty good so far. This book was written in 1954, I have a more recent biography, The Greatest Clown on Earth written by Donald McManus on the way from a bookseller in Europe. I'm looking forward to that one too.

Just finished "The Martian" tonight, awesome book. I can't wait until the movie comes out in November.

My next book to read will be:

"Seasons in Hell: With Billy Martin, Whitey Herzog and "The Worst Baseball Team in History"-The 1973-1975 Texas Rangers"

I have wanted to read it for some time now, I finally got a good deal on it.

Entertainment history is so fascinating. Mr. and I met through a mutual interest in vintage films, especially comedy.

Cool. My wife has an uncle who collects and sells vintage films. He has a theater room and all kinds of equipment that he plays them on. I bet he has over a thousand old movies, all the old great ones. Kind of fun to see...

Mr. Is a longtime 16mm collector, too. Chances are he may have heard of your wife's uncle! We have some great Christmas films on 16mm that you won't see anywhere else.

(Apologies for going off-topic ... cheesy)

Reading a bio of John Philip Sousa, and a novelized account of the battle of Gettysburg titled "The Killer Angels."

I looked that up, because it sounded like a vintage book, and it is. I'd like to read that sometime! It's available online for free at Archive.org and Project Gutenberg.
