Sneak Peek at Robin Williams’ Christmas Film

The sad and sudden passing of Robin Williams has thrust one of his last films into the spotlight. Releasing later this fall is Williams in “Merry Friggin’ Christmas”, a modern tale of a family Christmas in what looks like a bittersweet comedy. We broke the story of this movie back in February 2013.

Here’s the Williams preview:

In the film Williams plays Mitch Mitchler, father of Boyd Mitchler (Joel McHale). Boyd and his wife Luann (Lauren Graham) are spending the holiday with Mitch and other family members and are not looking forward to it. But when Boyd realizes he has left all of his son’s gifts at home, he takes a desperate road trip with his father and brother, hoping to make an 8-hour round trip to fetch the presents in time for Christmas morning.

The film, which opens Nov. 7, also features Clarke Duke, Oliver Platt, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Tim Heidecker and Candice Bergen.

Father of 7, Grandfather of 7, husband of 1. Freelance writer, Major League baseball geek, aspiring Family Historian.
