Sony to Make Animated Film with Jesus Portrayed by a Lamb

Talk about your twisted logic. Sony Pictures has signed on to develop a new animated feature based on the Bible nativity story. However, the film will shoot for laughs and will feature an all-animal cast, with Jesus portrayed as a lamb. Word is just reaching blog and media outlets on this project but broad speculation exists that the Christian blogging community will not like this. Meanwhile, Hollywood can only speculate on the money aspect of the film, dropping success stories in faith-based films in the past year from Heaven is Real, Son of God, and the weird and inexplicable Noah.Read more

Happy Christmas…Isn’t

Happy Christmas…Isn’t

Hollywood likes to make alternative Christmas movies — the more anti-Hallmark, the better. Anna Kendrick stars as a hard-partying twenty-something who, after a breakup, moves in with her brother’s family over the holidays. The tale is one of drunken stupor, sex, and excess throughout: Happy Christmas revolves around Jenny (Kendrick), an unmoored 20-something aimlessly floating through life who moves in with her older brother, Jeff (Swanberg), herRead more
