Legacy Recordings\u2019 Classic Christmas<\/a> Album series rings in this year\u2019s holiday season with new collections by Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Il Divo, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, plus compilations of hard rock, country and pop Christmas<\/a> classics. The eight new titles will be available everywhere October 7, 2014 through Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. <\/p>\n

This year not only introduces genre-specific, various artist compilations to the series but also previously unreleased and rare tracks. THE CLASSIC CHRISTMAS<\/a> ALBUM by Frank Sinatra features two previously unreleased tracks, \u201cBaby It\u2019s Cold Outside\u201d with singer Dorothy Kirsten and an alternate version of \u201cLet It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!\u201d with the Page Cavanaugh Trio. This alternate version follows a different approach to the performance of the same song Sinatra recorded four years later with the B. Swanson Quartet (track #2).<\/p>\n

THE CLASSIC CHRISTMAS<\/a> ALBUM by Johnny Mathis features the two previously unreleased tracks \u201cOl\u2019 Kris Kringle\u201d and \u201cGive Me Your Love<\/a> For Christmas<\/a>.\u201d This holiday collection also includes \u201cThe Very First Christmas<\/a> Day,\u201d \u201cChristmas In The City Of The Angels\u201d and \u201cChristmas Is\u2026\u201d These rare recordings were originally released as singles but are now making their first appearance on CD.<\/p>\n

Each of the new collections gather 10 or more remastered tracks that span the career of each artist, all of whom recorded multiple holiday albums through the years (some on multiple record labels), as well as occasional Christmas<\/a> tunes on other albums such as soundtracks or benefit albums.<\/p>\n

With many of their holiday albums either out-of-print, or never issued on CD, or highly collectible rarities, each new title in the Classic Christmas<\/a> Album series is a welcome cross-section of those hard-to-find classics. Each Classic Christmas<\/a> Album gathers a career\u2019s worth of precious memories, often spanning decades, while creating new memories at the same time.<\/p>\n
