{"id":10770,"date":"2014-10-01T12:49:51","date_gmt":"2014-10-01T18:49:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/?p=10770"},"modified":"2014-10-01T12:49:51","modified_gmt":"2014-10-01T18:49:51","slug":"country-music-association-lines-up-talent-for-2014-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/country-music-association-lines-up-talent-for-2014-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Country Music Association Lines Up Talent for 2014 Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Country Music Association announced today the many stars they have lined up for their Country <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> TV Special. <\/p>\n<p>The organization announced plans for its annual \u201cCMA Country Christmas\u201d ABC television special Wednesday morning and revealed some chart-topping names had already signed up to perform.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer Nettles will be back for the fifth year as host of the event, and performers include Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Sara Evans, Lucy Hale, Hunter Hayes, Little Big Town, Idina Menzel, LeAnn Rimes, Michael W. Smith and Carrie Underwood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter being the host of \u2018CMA Country <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>,\u2019 for five years now, it is hard to pick one thing I <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/sneaking-christmas\/\">love<\/a> about it,\u201d Nettles said in a statement. \u201cThere are so many fun moments. Whether it is the performances or duets, getting to perform <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> songs with such great artists is really fun for me. It\u2019s really a fun show all around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCMA Country Christmas\u201d will tape in front of a live audience at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Bridgestone Arena. For the third year, the CMA is encouraging audience members to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the taping for its toy drive. The Nashville-based nonprofit group Generosity will collect the toys beginning at 5 p.m. on Nov. 7.
