The series has been wildly popular in the U.K. and in the U.S.A. on PBS. This year marks their fifth season. <\/p>\n<p>The project will reportedly feature recordings by cast members including Elizabeth McGovern, who sings in a band called Sadie and the Hotheads.<\/p>\n<p>Editors at <em>The Sun<\/em> newspaper report the album will be released under classical label Rhino Records and will be titled <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> at Downton Abbey.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes after it was revealed Hollywood hunk George Clooney will appear in a charity <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> skit of the show and will kiss cast veteran Dame Maggie Smith.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cast of Downton Abbey are recording a Christmas album.
