{"id":154,"date":"2014-03-17T17:52:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-17T17:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/candice-glover-to-star-in-northpole-movie-by-hallmark\/"},"modified":"2014-09-08T15:27:02","modified_gmt":"2014-09-08T15:27:02","slug":"candice-glover-to-star-in-northpole-movie-by-hallmark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/candice-glover-to-star-in-northpole-movie-by-hallmark\/","title":{"rendered":"Candice Glover to star in Northpole Movie by Hallmark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Hallmark Channel tweeted, \u201cStunning Candice Glover is going to make our <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> movie franchise even more spectacular.\u201d The St. Helena Island native and American Idol winner happily confirmed the news on her Facebook page and said the \u201csecret was out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The movie, titled \u201cNorthpole,\u201d is a \u201ccharming tale about a reporter who, with the help of her son and his teacher, attempts to recapture the joy of the holiday season to save <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> after the world has begun to lose faith,\u201d according to a Hallmark Channel news release.<\/p>\n<p>The movie will premiere as part of the network\u2019s annual \u201cCountdown to Christmas\u201d movie series on Nov. 15. The film also stars Tiffani Amber Thiessen (\u201cBeverly Hills,\u201d \u201c90210\u201d), Josh Hopkins (\u201cCougar Town\u201d) Bailee Madison (\u201cTrophy Wife\u201d) and Max Charles (\u201cMr. Peabody &amp; Sherman\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Glover plays the role of Thiessen\u2019s best friend Josephine. She sings two songs in the movie, \u201cOh <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> Tree\u201d and \u201cSilent Night,\u201d said Hallmark Channel spokesperson Pam Slay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe needed someone with her talent to sing those songs beautifully and to represent Hallmark for <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>,\u201d Slay said of Glover. \u201cShe\u2019s a tremendous up and coming talent.
