{"id":158,"date":"2014-03-03T15:10:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-03T15:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/most-wonderful-time-filming-soon-in-the-south\/"},"modified":"2014-08-14T18:07:59","modified_gmt":"2014-08-14T18:07:59","slug":"most-wonderful-time-filming-soon-in-the-south","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/most-wonderful-time-filming-soon-in-the-south\/","title":{"rendered":"Most Wonderful Time Filming Soon in the South"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hollywood movie producer Adam Rosenfelt announced a deal Sunday to film \u201cThe Most Wonderful Time,\u201d starring Diane Keaton, Alan Arkin, Ed Helms and others, in and around Jackson, Missippi starting in late spring. We <a href=\"http:\/\/christmasflix.com\/2013\/08\/most-wonderful-time-to-start-filming-with-redford-keaton\/\" target=\"_blank\">introduced this project<\/a> starring Robert Redford and Diane Keaton and others last summer. <\/p>\n<p>Rosenfelt said \u201cThe Most Wonderful Time\u201d is a comedy centered on a family\u2019s chaotic <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> season. He said it will be produced by Imagine Entertainment and directed by Jessie Nelson, director of \u201cI Am Sam.\u201d It is still slated for a <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> 2014 release. <\/p>\n<p>The cast, Rosenfelt said, will also include Amanda Seyfried, Annette Benning, Felicity Jones and Theo James.<\/p>\n<p>Rosenfelt is using the project to hype a list of productions he hopes to launch in Mississippi. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe moved our company to Mississippi not just to make movies but build an industry,\u201d said Rosenfelt, president of Element Pictures, who recently created Mississippix Studios. He has numerous films to his credit including \u201cMr. Brooks\u201d and \u201cWaiting.\u201d Rosenfelt recently bought a home in Jackson and is splitting time here and in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to create jobs, train workers and give all of the talented people born and raised in Mississippi currently having to work in other states a reason to come back home,\u201d Rosenfelt said. \u201cI can\u2019 imagine a better way to help kick off the year of the creative economy here in Mississippi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gov. Phil Bryant has recently declared 2014 to be the Year of the Creative Economy in Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p>Rosenfelt has worked for years in New Orleans, but said he and his wife fell in <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/sneaking-christmas\/\">love<\/a> with Mississippi, and he is planning to create a permanent motion picture business in Jackson. <\/p>\n<p>Rosenfelt said the production is \u201cjust the first of many.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are building an entire slate of A-list films,\u201d Rosenfelt said. \u201cWe are going to build a company that will be Mississippi made, and one that will be a source of pride for all Mississippians.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hollywood movie producer Adam Rosenfelt announced a deal Sunday to film \u201cThe Most Wonderful Time,\u201d starring Diane Keaton, Alan Arkin, Ed Helms and others, in and around Jackson, Missippi starting in late spring.
