The classic song tells a story about going through the holidays without your special someone and dreaming of spending the festive season with them, wherever they are. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c&#8217;Merry <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>, Darling\u2019 has been one of those <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> songs that I&#8217;ve enjoyed performing live throughout the years,\u201d said Hayes in a news release. \u201cI&#8217;m a big fan of Karen Carpenter&#8217;s voice and the song\u2014it has always been a staple in my <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> playlist!
