That day this year falls on December 15th \u2013 and of course, My Merry <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> will celebrate it.<\/p>\n<p>How? By giving you a way to showcase your ugly <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> sweater. <\/p>\n<p>Yes, we\u2019ll have those who will post up their pictures right to the <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/home\/christmas-events\/annual-christmas-card-exchange\/\">Merry Forums<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>But we think a gloriously fun exhibitionist event like Ugly <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> Sweater Day deserves something more. Stay tuned for those details. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mmc-220a5.kxcdn.com\/x\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/ugly_sweater.png\" alt=\"Ugly Christmas Sweater\" width=\"250\" height=\"173\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-25470\" \/>In the meantime, do a little research online into the art of ugly <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> sweaters. It is a wildly creative event, one you can put a lot of fun into. <\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re looking for ways to do this together, to provide prizes, to make an event that is nothing more than an extension of everything else we do for <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> on MMC. <\/p>\n<p>Ugly <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> Sweater Day began in 2011 and some mistakenly call it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaluglychristmassweaterday.org\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day<\/strong><\/a>. The truth is that this is now a truly International <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> observance, one that is driven by social media. <\/p>\n<p>Millennials in particular <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/sneaking-christmas\/\">LOVE<\/a> Ugly <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> Sweater Day and why not? What more can the \u201clook-at-me\u201d generation do that is better than this? <\/p>\n<p>An ugly <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> sweater is a train wreck we want to see. It is never too much, never absurd, never out-of-line and always worth a laugh, a smile or a joke. It is, in short, a great bump in the road that leads to <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>So go out and get your ugly going. Buy a sweater, make a sweater, borrow a sweater &#8212; it doesn\u2019t matter.
